In one conversation this week depression came up as I was asked if I ever was depressed I responded “no, I have been sad and down, but never depressed. I was genuinely always happy.”. At first glance this is counter-intuitive right? How can one be sad and happy at the same time? https://paragraph.xyz/@samuellhuber/why-i-am-always-happy-even-when-i-feel-sad

I’d say an incident as your autobahn helps turn on the “happy to be alive” switch perpetually. Outside of that, you have a lot of wisdom for your time. My only push back is that you may be sadder at times than you allow yourself to know. I think this is generally true, not specific to you. Lastly, lmk about this week.

I had that same mindset before that accident though that made me internally feel what 50 cent says "I am here for a real reason" (song many men) - so now it's even more so that I want to live up to that as much as I can. though yes I for sure am dealing witih emotions and may be more sad at times then I realize, but since I don't realize doesn't that then also make me more happy?
