To connect to a new Farcaster app via signers: 10 warps (10c) or €1 (if no warps available)

any reason not to update the fiat rate to reflect new gas prices @dwr.eth (inline with warps?)

recent signer transactions are now costing well bellow 1c. so the 10 warps minimum should be reduced.

but i also suggest that this gas cost should be funded by the protocol treasury. if the user is paying $3-5 a year to use farcaster, why not use a tiny portion of that to pay for these transactions to remove friction?

Yes. People did this with FIDs just to troll.

maybe some limits can be introduced so each user can do a max number of funded transactions or a total $ amount per year

true. but this is a common point of feedback for users, and removing this friction might encourage more users to try more apps which can increase the amount of interesting/diverse content on the network.

do you mean using SIWN? that still requires the user to add a signer in warpcast and pay for it with warps the first time you do it. it's just that this signer gets shared between all apps that use siwn.
