could you filter so you only see anyone with a ranking https://dune.com/ilemi/farcaster-explorer e.g.anyone above active?

If you look at users with the "active" and "star" ranking in the "Trending Farcaster Users" chart, you will see that many of them are spam

yeah though that limits you to the social graph of the "cool" people. and ignores potential other communities that exist but aren't in tune with the "cool OG" users is definitly a good starting point though. I miss getting the number weekly to see how far below 1000 casts/week I am

I think it's a good benchmark to test against. So look at most active users for the week ranked by most casts made with the power badge filter turned on and then try a few other methods to see how different the results are.
