Let's revive $nouns! We want to leverage $nouns to bring our @esports audience onchain while maintaining long term economic alignment with Nouns ⌐◨-◨ https://www.nouns.camp/candidates/scaling-nouns-with-%24nouns-68a2ad5b63ab374fc5f6f7d1fb5f41b267035868

I think I’m pretty against this. $nouns was created by verbs… voted down by the DAO. Deployed by a “fan”and is now being made out to be some official coin (more so than nogs) when it’s actually not.. the coin also let people kinds soft fork their nouns. Feels like we’ve lost votes since $nouns not gained any new long term participants. Feels like adding another way to arb the DAO (maybe I’m wrong about that but who knows) and avoid going to auction which is going to hurt nouns big long term. And further, drop quorem..? I think that’s a mistake, especially if it’s not dynamic based on how many are in the pool.. didn’t wiz propose or float this months ago? Could work now with the esports spin. We’ll give you guys anything you want. GG

1. It’s technically an “official” token because it’s backed 1 to 1. 2. $nouns hasn’t gained any traction because we haven’t supported it. 3. The drop in quorum is just to reflect the Nouns that aren’t votable, I agree it’s not a good long term solution but it works in the interim imo

i hear your points, but not sold on $nouns being net positive for Nouns... https://www.nounswap.wtf/stats/activity doesn't tell a great story IMO. We've got long term players liquidating their nouns to give lunch money in $nouns via rounds, in the hop that someone will get enough to then buy the remaining bit via $nouns .... How does that help Nouns at all? or the treasury? Most people have just been selling their $nouns as they accumulate.. Why would anyone hold?

Fair enough. The activity doesn't tell a great story because nobody wants to engage with a token that moves 10% when a $20 trade goes through, it just doesn't scale. Most people sell because there's nothing you can do with it but hold, which we are trying to solve by giving esports fans ways to transact with it. I'm not sure Nouns can scale beyond its current magnitude unless its accessible to the average person. This benefits Nouns and the treasury because it induces more demand and brings in more participants into the ecosystem.
