I understand where you're coming from, and it makes sense in a way; in some cases it might even make sense, but the time investment for you to get to the level you need (know how AND experience) is most of the time too big.

When outsourcing (and even hiring), you need to know what you want to obtain (this is the hard part), establish your dos/don'ts and make sure you track the progress.

True! But I think that if you really want your project to succeed you can't completely hand it off externally: that's something you have to start learning and mastering to have complete control over your project ;)
