Navigating Risk vs. Reward How do you decide when a risk is worth taking? Have you ever taken a big risk that paid offâor one that didnât go as planned? I have done both. At 19, I took over ownership of a small franchise pizza restaurant. It was a good opportunity but it didnât go as planned. The restaurant didnât make money and I struggled to make ends meet. Ultimately, I sold it for a very small profit, but nothing for the time and effort put in. Then, in 2013, I quit my safe job to start a risky digital marketing company. We grew quickly and in 2014, a large competitor made a generous offer to buy out the company. I took that offer and I began working for them. Today, I am much more careful about taking risks. Iâm almost 40 and my time is more valuable to me now. I will still take risks but the rewards must be outsized for me to really do so. Letâs talk about the toughest risks youâve taken in life, what you learned from them, and how you weigh risk vs. reward in your decisions today.

Interesting topic really interesting đ, I used to believe in the idea that âno risk, no rewardâ. When I started my first teaching job, I invested all my salary in what I thought was a great opportunity but it turned out to be a Ponzi scheme. I even got friends involved and we all lost our money. Since then, Iâve been much more careful about taking risks. I even tried forex trading, but without proper risk management, I ended up blowing up my account đ So yeah, Iâd love to hear how others have dealt with risky decisions and the strategies that helped them make better choices.

haha sometimes we just have to learn the hard way a couple times. I've put a lot of money into those mlm's back in the day
