One of my fav nyc buildings - fun history too, was originally 22 apartments with some having 34 rooms, though the average was just 14 rooms with 5 bathrooms. Eventually this part of town fell out of favor with the elites and the owners  subdivided it up into 75 apartments during the Great Depression to make ends meet.
