A Girl with a Pearl Earring (Dutch: Meisje met de parel) is one of the outstanding works of the Dutch painter Johannes Vermeer, which alone is one of the stable foundations of the "Golden Age of Art" in the Netherlands in the 17th century.

Since 1902, this work has been kept in the Mauritshuis Museum in The Hague, and many restorations have been made on it. In 2006, the Dutch people chose it as the most beautiful painting in the Netherlands
