✒️One of the strange and fascinating behaviors of elephants is their mourning for their dead companions. When elephants encounter the body of a deceased elephant, they often approach it, touch it gently with their trunks, and may even stay near the body for hours or days. This behavior reflects their high emotional intelligence and understanding of death. Interestingly, elephants sometimes move or carefully touch the bones of dead elephants, as if paying their respects.
