Skyfire, an AI-focused payments company, has announced the closing of a new seed funding round with investments from Coinbase Ventures and a16z Crypto Startup Accelerator (CSX), bringing its total seed funding round to $9.5 million, up from $8.5 million previously.
According to The Block, Skyfire is building the infrastructure to enable AI agents to make payments on their own. skyfire provides AI agents with a unique digital wallet that can be preloaded with the stablecoin USDC or traditional banking channels. The announcement comes on the heels of Skyfire's $8.5 million seed funding round announced in August, with participation from Circle, Ripple, Gemini, and Bitcoin advocate Tim Draper's venture capital firm.
