New way to know a persons generation. Ask them if they know what to do (and def what not to do) should they find themselves in quicksand.

Really??? Where? Was it an Indiana jones set? Did you use the ‘swim’ method to get out ?!? I have never heard of this happening to anyone in real life - I’m now re-instating it in the ‘things that be scared of’ - right under atom bombs

I was hiking Pariah Canyon in Utah with some friends. It’s a desert climate with very fine sand that makes weird, sticky mud. So I stepped on what I thought was a sand bar under about an inch of water and immediately sunk to mid-thigh. A couple seconds later it was up to my waist. My friend yelled at me to lay forward on my stomach and basically doggy-paddle towards him where he could help me up onto a rock — sounds like it could be the swim method. I remember movies and cartoons from when I was a kid — people and cartoon characters always falling in haha. Always making a mental note of how they got out, you know, just in case!
