The British researcher, Noel Malcolm, also believes in his book, A Brief History of Bosnia, that the tie first went to Europe from Iran during the Sassanid period. These Iranians were Mani's followers[citation needed] and used a cloth on the front of their shirts to distinguish themselves from others. But in modern history, it was taken to France by Croats, and due to language differences, its name was changed to tie, and it was given more attention by France's neighbor, England, and introduced to the world. 5 replies
