I wanted to post this on realms so voters can see my perspective, but the message was too long. Alas, I'll post it here. 

I want to highlight a few things and give my perspective on this proposal.  I think we will likely beat these charges if we litigate. That being said, the financial cost of fighting this in court will be many times greater than the 600k penalty, not to mention the disruption to our lives through a court process that could drag on for years.  

This is a no admit no deny settlement which means we are not admitting to violating any of these laws, but we also are not allowed to deny the allegations. The language of the gag order is a bit troubling to me because we cannot dispute their “factual” narrative but we are not allowed to see what they will publish before we sign. We have to trust that the SEC will behave honorably in what they write.
