farcaster apps i'd like to see - curation market: the openAI news brought everyone to X; but i trust farcaster community more to curate. Create way for users to spend tokens to upvote high quality content, posters & curators rewarded for valued content - prediction market: bet on polls / events with fc friends

🫑 although i'm very hesitant about using financial incentives (picrel), I think having some in-app currency such as warps or reddit gold might make sense for tipping etc :)

Agreed. Curation for the sake of quality is a lot more powerful. And the fact that I need to mint an NFT to curate makes me more invested. The incentives should never be purely monetary imo. People sharing great links consistently get an audience on FC in return. What’s a potential reward for Kiwi holders though?

People curate for many reasons. Some like sharing good content with others. Some want to get more points on the leaderboard (https://news.kiwistand.com/community). Some want to show their expertise & intellectual taste on their profiles (https://news.kiwistand.com/macbudkowski.eth) and get in touch with similar people

Yeah, totally relate with the expertise and intellectual taste bit. Here’s how I see a more selfish but valid incentive - sharing links may or may not get you mentioned. But being a holder means you’re consistently curating and contributing your taste to the community. And that signaling is def worth something.

Yes, we have bots on FC & Twitter that share the most popular links and tag the authors. So you can use Kiwi as a "status Uniswap" where you exchange Kiwi status for status on other social media. Plus it's kind of like Pinterest but instead of displaying your visual taste, you display your intellectual taste :)

Idea - a collection of my kiwi submissions to share as my reading list. A lot of us do this on Notion anyway.

We're already doing that! Here's a list about Nouns curated by @ccarella.eth: https://news.kiwistand.com/canons?name=nouns

This page is down btw. Can I have a list here without holding a kiwi pass?

Oh damn, gotta check it. You can't - you need to hold Kiwi Pass. Plus at the moment this feature is invite-only but if you have some interesting list to share, let me know!
