memecoins are attention, their value shares the same ephemeral nature - ups and downs and ups again. We have never been used to a monetisation of attention to this level, almost a 1:1. Is it a good thing? I don’t know. I don’t subscribe to the economics, at least not yet. But in an env where everything can be tokenised and traded, in a free market down to every individual, it was inevitable. I also don’t believe that the notifs here are evil enablers - the diff between rug pulls and memecoins is agency. I know what I’m doing. But at the end, I can choose to play along or ignore the notifs. Also, @v ‘s disclaimer is good, it’s imp.
