🐋 The Bank of New York Mellon, with $50 trillion in assets under management (AUM), is planning to enter the custody services market for spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on Bitcoin and Ethereum. This move could threaten the dominant position of Coinbase, which currently manages the custody of funds for more than 90% of U.S. spot ETFs.
