the next class of creators* are unique in that they care deeply about community pre-2010: creator / fan dynamic was distant, controlled 2010-today: dynamic became more interactive via social media, but v top-down crypto-enabled future: dynamic expands to be bottom-up, more reciprocal + participatory w/ crypto tools
