I tried a few things and came up with these tips and tricks, which I’m sharing in case they help someone else. These points might seem small, but together, little by little, they can make a noticeable difference:
-Add a pinch of salt to reduce acidity.
-Pair coffee with something fatty like full-fat milk to cushion your stomach.
-Don’t drink coffee on an empty belly.
-There’s a lot of mixed info about whether Robusta or Arabica is easier on the stomach, which can get pretty confusing. It’s best to try both and see which one works for you. The same goes for where your coffee beans come from (like Ethiopia, Kenya, etc.)
-Espresso is the hardest on the stomach, Americano or large black coffee aren't much better, third-wave brews are moderate, coffee with milk is easier, and cold brew is the best for sensitive stomachs (I'll continue enjoying my large black or espresso though)
-Try bulletproof coffee (butter, coconut oil, and your preferred coffee; optional: add a dash of cinnamon, vanilla or both) 3 replies
