One evening, when I was in an old country house, something strange happened. I was sitting by the fireplace, enjoying the silence, when suddenly I heard a rustle.

Turning around, I saw a translucent figure. It was a ghost! It hovered by the window, as if trying to say something.

I froze, but, gathering my courage, I asked: "How can I help?" The ghost pointed to an old photo on the wall. I went over and saw that it depicted a man who looked remarkably like my uninvited guest.

At that moment, I felt that I had solved his mystery. The ghost nodded and disappeared, leaving a feeling of calm. Since then, I have believed that sometimes the past comes back to remind me of myself.
