study churchill "...I am so conceited I do not believe the Gods would create so potent a being as myself for so prosaic an ending." his ultimate super power was the ability to view himself as the main character, the protagonist, who can falter at hardships, but are inevitably 'destined' to be great.

many historical figures have different controversial sides - i just learn what i can from them and digest what resonates as a founder, the rest of their moral,personal,philosophical, or political flaws, i dont follow as much

I agree that a historical (or current) leader doesn't need to be magically perfect to learn from. In my view, there also has to be some limit at which I'm not quoting them or praising their management style, etc. Of course, that point its different for everyone.
