1. we are now ~29K players
2. accept 1K more for "30K OG players"
3. issue them OG NFTs. 5 each
4. new players need to buy them from OGs
5. even if you sell, you still get to play forever as an OG

If you can sell your OG nft, it could complicate token-gateing, etc. in the future. Maybe give OGs one NFT that only works with their FID or username, and 1  or 2 more specifically meant for them to sell. This would reward OGs and ad new players.
