obviously going to be Kendrick for me 

It would be totally fine if he never dropped any visuals along with his music because the storytelling & narration is so vivid and detailed that I can always imagine these scenes / sights within my own head in a very visceral way. 

Writing raps is just also probably the hardest form of writing because of the way you have to consider things like rhyme scheme, cadence, flow, etc. in addition to just writing great prose or poetry.
