Your question's a matter of definition but in the most extreme case you could say every interaction is a “transaction”. In a world of transactions we can still claim some transactions are not permitted or frowned upon such as hiring someone to torture, blackmail, or extort etc etc.

Also I’d rather have David Sinclair working on longevity research even if he could make more money running a life insurance company.
