Oh man, I love when they’re like that 😂 Intern #1 does cuddle with me, like spoons right in, but the others spend more of their time on my desk to be with me for whatever reason. Here’s #1 yesterday, spooning with her head on my arm 🥰

I had 2 cats and 2 dogs for years, unfortunately nature takes its course and I’m down to 1 old dog now I used to find mouse heads and corpses all over, gross, but they worked!

Damn, sorry to hear that, hopefully they passed after long happy lives at least 🫂 That’s the hardest part. My son had a blue phase tree frog that had like a 20 year life expectancy and died at 3. Seeing them devastated sucks balls, but the silver lining is they grow stronger from it I suppose.

Appreciate that man! Pretty damn good lives I would say, the kids unfortunately learned hard lessons, but lessons that are necessary for their emotional intelligence, at least imho lol

That’s exactly it, aside from all the things they learn while owning and caring for a pet, dealing with pets passing probably also somewhat prepares them for the inevitability of people they know passing one day too. Not that it would make it easier though 🤷‍♂️
