My bank doesn’t have any physical branches (I use USAA and Aspiration) and that seems fine

sure but shouldn't the goal be for anyone's bank to not have these sorts of limitations in the first place? to say nothing of the use cases for banking & finance that even your more enlightened institutions haven't yet provided

"no state, no taxes" is a 2013 era Bitcoiner thing. ethereum has a more subtle goal: to be the instant, global protocol for contracts and commerce. anyone can build on it without asking. this ofc exists alongside states and taxes. look at eg Starlink using USDC to recognize their LatAm revenue efficiently--upgraded finance, nothing to do with tax avoidance or hyperlibertarianism.

tax collection, utilization, and regulation can all be improved with the primitives like the evm enable
