The thing about the Miyazaki/AI conflict is I’m not sure that being talented/a visionary in a field means you should get a premium on what the medium “should” be

Right. Frank Herbert was great at this. Listening to interviews about Dune he was like look I want to put out a great story that people like and I love that readers take it and do their own head canon with it. Your art is going to be memed or reinterpreted or appreciated in some other way at some point, be antifragile about it
