>Vance makes the point that Trump’s diplomacy is what is making this deal work and ending the war, comparing it to the Biden approach >Zelensky makes the point that Putin has gone back on deals previously and asks Vance “what kind of diplomacy are you speaking about?” >Vance says “the kind of diplomacy that will save your country” Then it degenerates from there. If Zelensky is skeptical enough of any deal with Putin to make a stand during a press event & blow it up, why was he prepared to make a deal right before that? Why didn’t he settle this in the actual negotiations? Is he open to a deal or not? His response isn’t wrong on the facts but you’re either going through with a deal or you’re not

When you really think about it it's the most crucial question. Vance doesn't have an answer and prefers to argue about another thank you. Yet of this answer depends the necessity of fighting or not. So what is the answer ? https://warpcast.com/garance/0xa21e8900

The Trump answer is they wouldn’t do it with him, not reassuring to rely one one guy’s word for it but empirically true vs Obama & Biden years. Russia could also say the same thing about NATO, many countries have been added that the US said would not be, on top of US involvement in 2014. Full military invasion is a clear step above, which is the reason the US still has the moral high ground
