The more we use AI for writing, Ethan Mollick (Co-intelligence) points out that where the effort invested has implicit meaning, like letters of recommendation, AI can negatively impact meaning. We need to reconstruct the meaning of creative work, develop new symbols to reflect what we value when using AI-support.

"The Time is Ripe for Robopsychology," Krägeloh and his team argue, is the moment for psychology to systematically understand the impacts of robots and AI in our lives beyond isolated studies. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9536172/

Reminds me of the fictional Dr. Susan Calvin in Asimov's world, developing the field of robopsychologist. Today, we're doing something similar with LLMs in English.

This is an interesting observation (cheap access to help and drivers) that I feel applies to many families in Latin America. But times are changing in LATAM and there is less cheap help. Do not know how the future will look like.

I am using it, but it does not replace ChatGPT Plus for me: its limited in its ability to read files, which is important for my use cases. Also, every so often it says that it cannot answer that question, I guess because the answer needs human validation vetting at this point.

For me, the most important thing is how we insure that the maximum number of people is able to use AI at their advantage. Reskilling and upskilling the workforce to use AI; reforming the educational system for students to learn to use AI critically and skillfully is super important; …

I like the final sentence of their abstract “This work paves the way for training on massive datasets of long video and language to develop understanding of both human knowledge and the multimodal world, and broader capabilities.” If they succeed training data scarcity is a thing of the past.
