Every time I am triggered, I can do one of two things with it: 1) I can attack, dismiss or get away from whoever or whatever is triggering me. 2) I can stay with the emotion and work it through. Those are my choices. If I do the first thing, if I withdraw or attack, I’m simply perpetuating my victimhood. What would the world be like if we were all responsive & responsible?
