Cats

Cats, which we call domestic, can fully adapt to a wild lifestyle within a single generation under suitable conditions. This phenomenon has been observed in Australia, where domestic cats were brought by the English in the 19th century to traditionally protect storage facilities from rodents. However, the cats quickly noticed that the native fauna of the new continent was much easier prey than mice and rats, which had learned caution through bitter experience. As soon as coexisting with humans was no longer essential for survival, the felines switched to a different mode.
