WILDCARD FAQ What is Wildcard?🧵 Wildcard is a Farcaster client built as PWA (Progressive Web App) that utilizes many of the core features of decentralized social. Wildcard allows you to buy and sell “tickets” of other profiles, has a social tipping experience ($WILD), and a native feed algorithm. What are Tickets? And why are they always affordable? Tickets are like buying shares of a user. Wildcard allows you to buy fractions of tickets so users can still buy large profiles for cheap and get exposure. What is the Bonding Curve? A bonding curve is a mathematical curve that determines the price of a token based on its supply and demand. As more tokens are issued, the price typically increases according to the curve, and conversely, decreases when tokens are sold back. In Wildcard, Tickets start off as a linear bonding curve that becomes cubic.

What is Tipping? Tipping is a social experience where you can reward people for quality content. Each day users have a daily allowance that they can tip. Tipping can occur easily in Wildcard with a click of the button or directly in Warpcast with “XX $WILD”. How does Tipping Allowance work? Everyone get’s 1500 $WILD to tip everyday, which resets at midnight UTC. You can increase your tipping allowance depending on the following criteria: 2500 WILD for anyone holding at-least 1 tickets in total (you can have multiple tickets if they add up to 1, you're in) 2000 WILD for anyone holding at-least 0.001 ticket 1500 WILD for the rest of the folks You can also tip from your wild points even if your daily allowance is exhausted. The default 1500 WILD allowance is a negative sum game, as it gets slashed for non participating users.

How are Tickets and Tipping related? For any ticket you own of a Farcaster profile you receive a share of tips received by that profile. 25% of the WILD tips received by a person are distributed among their ticket holders. So the more tickets you own of a profile and the more that person is tipped $WILD, the more you earn. What makes Wildcard unique? Wildcard is a combination of a Farcaster client with its own feed algorithm and a social DEX that aligns users' incentives with creators. Previous attempts of clients have missed on the financialization aspects that decentralised social enables. Previous attempts of a social DEX had misaligned incentives where influencers made 90% of the money.

Why should I participate? Identifying quality users and sharing upside with them as they grow is something that is uniquely native to crypto. No other app has been able to tap into this use case. Rewarding people for their contributions to a network via tipping is fun. Wildcard makes it super easy to do this with 1 click. The Wildcard team loves to ship, offer feedback and help grow the product together. Where are my funds being held? We are using Privy. Is the contract audited? Yes. Is web coming soon? Yes.
