As the creator of one of the most used dapps (Net) on Ham chain, I want to share why Ham L3 is important to Net and why I disagree with each point here more broadly.

Buckle up, this is going to be long:

I deployed Net to Base first because that was what my X following wanted and I saw some small adoption but nothing major. I deployed Net to Degen after suggestions from my Farcaster community and saw minimal increase in adoption. I deployed Net to Ham and people were immediately enthused.

Net thrives on chains where transactions are dirt cheap - transactions are simply too expensive on Base without cost being on a user's mind. And Net, by definition an onchain messaging protocol, requires a social environment to flourish. The Ham community was instantly accepting of me, a newcomer to the world of 🍖 and were willing to entertain crazy ideas. Furthermore, Ham's supports onchain tipping, onchain social data, etc. which enables realized and potential use-cases that simply can't exist elsewhere
