The development of the internet can be divided into three stages. I remember when we first encountered Web 1.0 in our childhood. Websites were mostly static, and information was simply displayed on the page. We just browsed quietly, with little interaction. As time went on, the internet entered the Web 2.0 era, where social networks and shopping platforms emerged, and people began to engage in sharing, commenting, and interacting. Unfortunately, during this period, all data was tightly controlled by a few major platforms.
Now, we’ve entered a new era — Web3. Built on blockchain technology, Web3’s biggest feature is its decentralization. This means data is no longer stored on a single giant platform but distributed across multiple nodes, where anyone can participate in validating and managing it. With this, users can truly own their data, enjoying data sovereignty and privacy protection. 0 reply
