Hyperliquid suffered its second whale manipulation event in two weeks on Wednesday as a user shorted Solana memecoin JELLYJELLY on the decentralized exchange, forcing the protocol to assume hefty losses shortly after. Wallet address "0xde96" opened a short position on JELLYJELLY while a whale dumped the memecoin on DEXs, which crashed the token's price and forced Hyperliquid's HLP vault to take over the initial short position. The newly created wallet "0x20e8" then longed the token. The strategy exacerbated HLP’s unrealized losses to about $12 million, according to Lookonchain data. AI OVERPRODUCTION China seeks to commoditize their complements. So, over the following months, I expect a complete blitz of Chinese open-source AI models for everything from computer vision to robotics to image generation. Why? I’m just inferring this from public statements, but their apparent goal is to take the profit out of AI software since they make money on AI-enabled hardware. Basically, they want to do to US tech (the last stronghold) what they already did to US manufacturing. Namely: copy it, optimize it, scale it, then wreck the Western original with low prices. The smartest and wealthiest people (on the inside, and outside) i have met or know or count as real friends: - hold radical different opinions than the herd - do not watch normal news - rigorously protect their families safety and privacy - do not want to be famous - have few close friends, but the one´s they have they really cherish and can really trust - do not care what others think - have vast networks of people they can access quickly if needed through connections, people that owe them a favor etc - are not ego-focused, selfish, vain, image-oriented, etc - utterly ignore public opinion - do not display their financial wealth in excessive ways - like creating instead of copying - are interested in radically new ideas or thoughts - like to be on their own to cultivate their thoughts and creative ideas - take care of themselves physically and mentally but also know how to have a good time - have a serious work attitude and know how to focus, they cherish their scarce time. USDe/USDT v3 0.01% pool has seen imbalances like this before. Even during the ByBit hack when there was a very short lived depeg event. Something to monitor. 9 times out of 10, nothing. Would think this is nothing, but always good to be aware WHEN to be on alert.
