Data availability is an important part of the challenge of blockchain scalability. EIP4844 is a big step towards improving the utility of Ethereum as a data availability layer. However, with its current parameter settings, it is not yet possible to provide sufficient capacity to meet all roll up requirements. I hope Danksharding can significantly improve this situation with its excellent data availability sampling. Prior to this, Rollup relied on calldata and blob storage, or received additional security assumptions and adopted a data availability layer outside of Ethereum. @hjfasg @dk
