Channel update: public mode is now live

- Public mode allows non-members to cast in the channel

- Member casts always appear in the channel feed; non-member casts will sometimes appear in the channel feed

- You can always make someone a member of your channel to guarantee they appear in the main feed

- Channel owners have the option to turn on / off public mode

/farcaster and /warpcast are now in public mode

What's the point of being allowed to cast but then your cast almost never appears in the channel feed?
Wondering about the use case here.

Hmm, unsure you become legit, in the eyes of the mod, to become a member, if your casts almost never appear, and hence don't get reactions, engagement that in theory should validate your legitimacy ..
