Building on right feels more organic. Note that if you abstract out the colored lights and look at every building in the left pic, except for one or two they are just boxes. It’s oversimplifying but there is a trend toward organic shapes (old) vs geometry (new). But I’m not an absolutist. I like the NYC skyline.

Has to do w censorship resistance. Web3 shd have a more transparent process for content mgmt and if you don’t like it you can take your network with you. If you don’t worry about that, then the advantage may be hard to see.

I lived downtown for two years and then moved to SM two years. Love dtla. I think one issue is that a lot of people want to walk and bike and stuff on weekends and it’s easier near the beach. Seems minor but people do care. That said dt has a cooler vibe.
