iMessage is the absolute worst messaging app, don't at me.

Based, I unironically think Whatsapp is nearly top tier, Telegram has better polish but worse/more complicated user journeys

Whatsapp downloading stuff by default is p annoying

I'm mixed on the default because it really is a better experience for the tech less literate people and I'm pretty sure you can toggle it, but I understand where you're coming from. 

I'm just not convinced there's a good answer to serve everyone
