poached the chicken by boiling water with scallion ginger and shiitake mushroom stems, ditching  chicken in, return to boil then turn stove off for 20 min, dunk in water with ridiculously large ice cubes made from the ice cube tray @royalaid.eth made fun of the other day

I will have you know that is loving admiration of the unique situation you find yourself in re: your ice cubes. It's just really unexpected that you don't have a typical icecube tray and that your only option is large spherical ice cubes for whiskey 😂

speaking of another item that i am using for its unintended function
i did order egg bite molds to make egg white egg bites (you know egg poor here) and i think they can also be used to make somewhat spherical ice
