Oh we doin language learning? Oh boy buckle up.

Get exposure to C if you want to have a better understanding of how everything plugs together. Then dabble in Rust to learn just how hard good C actually is to write.

If you want exotic programming languages you can start with something like a LISP (Clojure is my fav) and then Haskell or Ocaml.

Want to see what a powerful runtime can offer? Erlang or Elixir because it's kinda magic.

You want to go deep into an alien world? Prolog, Forth, J (https://www.jsoftware.com/#/)

Want something fun as a toy? Brainfuck is good for understanding what's happening in a pure turing machine and also exposes you to the idea of external APIs that you have to depend on for interaction (you get this a bit with C too because of syscalls but BF makes this much more explicit).

Want to learn how to fuck with software at the lowest (reasonable) level? Asm (https://godbolt.org/) is great to understand "fundamentals".
