 🔸 With the mining of block number 840,000 in the Bitcoin blockchain, the reward for mining Bitcoin was halved from 6.25 Bitcoin units to 3.125 units.  Halving is designed to reduce the inflation rate of Bitcoin and increase its value by reducing the supply.
