Vank Church is one of the most important and beautiful Armenian churches in Iran, located in the historical district of Jolfa in the city of Isfahan. The church, known in full as the Church of Amenaparkich Vank (meaning "Holy Savior"), was built during the Safavid era, during the reign of Shah Abbas I, when a large number of Armenians from the Jolfa region of Armenia were moved to Isfahan.
