Portrait of Dr. Gachet Dr. Paul Ferdinand Gasche was the person who wanted to help Van Gogh during his illness. The picture that Van Gogh painted of this doctor in the last days of his life is today considered as one of his outstanding works. Also, the painting and portrait of Dr. Gachet (Portrait of Dr. Gachet) was designed in 1890, and then after 100 years, in 1990, it was sold for 82.5 million dollars, breaking the record of the most expensive paintings in the world.
