We create our own miracles and fairy tales.
Throughout my life, I’ve often heard that I’m too much…this or that, just a lot for people. So, I tried to fit in, tried to be smaller, and it affected my life because I wasn’t being myself. I would dress down, act smaller, avoid wearing my designer bags or red lipstick, just to make sure others felt more comfortable around me.
But when I was diagnosed with cancer and realized my life could be over, I started reflecting on everything. I promised myself that I would live fully and be true to who I am, even if that feels like too much for someone else. But I will always do everything from my heart and in a way that feels right to me.
We only get one life, and life itself is a privilege. Let’s be ourselves! 17 replies
