Why do you use Farcaster vs Twitter ?

TBH, I never really liked Twitter. It turns people into the worst versions of themselves because the algo rewards attention-capturing engagement—Twitter is ultimately an ad company with a social media product, after all. I was ready to jump to a Web3-native option. Bonus, FC has a much higher signal-to-noise ratio.

Hear me out. That’s not because of the inherent incentives. Right now farcaster is a carefully curated group of bright and motivated individuals. (Invite only) How do you preserve this with an algo or public platform?

That’s a good question! And a *difficult* question. I suspect that Hubs on Farcaster will help preserve the vibe of FC as it is now, since it’ll allow people to self-curate into communities of like-minded people.

I’m a part of a community called Jump. We also started with this carefully curated application based invite structure. Then we integrated an NFT based invite structure which has been working out well. The team should definitely check it out
