This work shows two children carrying a wounded angel with his eyes closed on two sticks. Hugo Simberg did not explain about this work and preferred to be interpreted according to everyone's opinion. Some say that the angel is a symbol of the human soul, which is offended and does not use its wings, which are a symbol of freedom, and is carried by two boys, which is a symbol of the rawness and inexperience of the human body. One of the children is looking directly at us, indicating our conscience. Others say that the angel is a symbol of Finland, which was severely wounded and offended after the domination of Russia, and that children represent the young generation that carries this country. However, there are different interpretations /superrare

The artwork features two children carrying a wounded angel on sticks, its eyes closed. Hugo Simberg left the piece open to interpretation, with some believing the angel represents a wounded human soul, unable or unwilling to use its wings.
