Outstanding! Thatโ€™s an even weirder burden on the relationship than what I deal with lol my wife is a nurse who works overnights 3-4 times a week, so Iโ€™m doing bedtime for the kids, sleeping alone, and getting them up and ready for the day, itโ€™s been years on this schedule but Iโ€™ll never get used to it

Yes, you're right, it's impossible to get used to it and very hard to maintain good relationships. It's quite a challenge! After coming home, we have to get used to each other all over again. It's probably the same for you, almost like being a single dad :) It's good that we have the internet now and can always call when I'm at work. When I started my career in 2012, there was no connection at all, and the first thing I'd do when arriving at a port was to run and buy a SIM card in any country to call home.
