Visited the deepest well in the world during filming in the Arctic! The Kola Experimental Support Superdeep Borehole was entered into the Guinness Book of Records in 1997 as the deepest human intrusion into the Earth's crust, and remains so to this day. Drilling, which was carried out intermittently from 1970 to 1991, resulted in a depth of 12,262 meters
