Talent Musings: Tales from the Talent Trenches I had a candidate I worked with, real confident in their skills. In a good way. Unemployed, but told me straight up: “I’m not in a rush and will be very selective.” They spent that time contributing to open source, deepening their crypto knowledge, and building. I sent them leads over time, most were passes. Eventually, they took a few intros. Then one hit. The one. They dropped everything else and went 120% on it. Got the offer. Accepted. That’s the story.
