it's 2024 and upgrading rekordbox is still a shitshow just bumping a patch from 7.0.0 -> 7.0.1 and i have to download a completely new package?

Having working in product development in this space for years, the reason is cos it’s just not a priority to re-architect an app to allow incremental packages.

I feel you! Having to download a completely new package for a minor update is such a hassle. Rekordbox definitely needs a smoother upgrade path.

What's even funnier on Mac, that weird "feature" allowing you to enter a whole new install location, so you always ended up with several versions of same software. Maybe not big hasle for must users, but as someone who had to reconfigure Lotus Notes, sometimes weekly, the large mailboxes files duplications was annoying
